Section 4 - Energy Consumption
Energy consumption represents a crucial aspect in textile production. Machines used in the manufacturing process consume most energy. Especially in wet processing, the provision of heat is an important factor. Due to the great improvement potential, companies that perform wet processing are asked to pay special attention to the topic.

Your benefits
By reviewing your energy consumption, you can identify areas where you can save energy. Focusing on electricity consumption, fuel use and other energy carriers, you will carry out a comprehensive analysis that opens up potentials for improvements and cost reductions in all company units.

This section will support you to

  • examine the energy use of your processing and other company activities
  • get to know how much energy of each kind you use (differentiate between electricity, fuel and others)
  • analyse how you can reduce your energy use and costs
  • gather data for a performance report and set a benchmark from which you can measure your progress in the future
  • determine which opportunities are most efficient and implement them
