Section 8 - The Human Factor
Take a closer look at people that have an influence on your success, both internally and externally. The external factor is the community your company is bound to; people that live near your facility and that are affected by your activities. Your employees are your company's link to the community and a crucial factor for your operations.
Your benefits
Your employees are the main "human factor" for your company. To ensure and (where possible) improve their health and safety situation is key requirement to increase product output and quality. But it is not only the people in or around your company that you should be considered. Also consumers and retailers increasingly ask for products that fulfil certain environmental and social standards. It is therefore not only necessary to act according to national law, but also to know about your customers' standards and expectations to stay in business. Talking to your suppliers and customers to screen their expectations is a key factor to increase your market share.
