Section 3 - Water Consumption
Water is a key production factor in textile processing. Purchasing water can therefore be a major part of your business' annual expenses. Rising water prices or even shortages can be a possible threat to your business activities. Additionally, treatment and disposal of wastewater can also pose a substantial financial burden on your company.
Your benefits
When you review your water use, you will identify areas where you can save money and water. Collecting water consumption and usage data is a crucial precondition to identify improvement opportunities and is therefore a key task throughout the section. By reducing the volume of water used your company will simultaneously reduce its wastewater level, which can result in double savings. Cost savings up to 20% of the total water costs are possible and go straight to the bottom line.
